Portfolio of blocks

Explore Downtown by what you came for

Filter the core. Each card is a neighborhood with a reason to get off the train.

Arts district

Roosevelt Row

Color-washed walls by local artists, including La Morena, Ashley Macias, Thomas “Breeze” Marcus, and Lalo Cota, turn the grid into a gallery you walk through. Indie shops and breweries share the blocks. On First Fridays the sidewalks become a street festival: open rooms, live music, and food you can eat standing up.

Heritage Square

The Square PHX keeps a Queen Anne house, shade, and kitchens with national reputations — Pizzeria Bianco and Nobuo at Teeter House among them. It is the clearest place to see 1890 and tonight in the same glance.

CityScape and the rail

Central Core

CityScape and the blocks around it are where a hotel lobby, a weeknight show, and the train are a short walk apart. If you only learn one transfer, learn this one.

Game day

Sports & convention

Chase Field (Diamondbacks, pool beyond the outfield) and Footprint Center (Suns and Mercury) sit near hotels and the rail. Few downtowns make an afternoon game and an evening tip-off feel like one outing.

Brick warehouse windows glowing amber at blue hour, with a bicycle in the alley.

Adaptive reuse

Warehouse & innovation

The industrial blocks are where the next downtown usually starts: makers, small rooms, and cranes that have not erased the masonry. Come for the side streets, not a single landmark.

200+ kitchens

The long table

Downtown’s reputation was rebuilt in dining rooms as much as in towers. Book the famous table if you want it, then stay in the neighborhood for a second stop. The point is not to cross the city between courses.
